5779 is a new year when the new wine will flow freely. It’s a time to position ourselves to receive a steady flow of God’s Spirit. Of course, wine also represents sustenance and life and is associated in Scripture with grain and oil, which speaks to covenant blessings (see Joel 2:24). Wine can also speak of joy.
You will receive the new wine as you WAIT upon the Lord (Isaiah 40:31).
We need to engage in an active waiting, with our ears perked up, rather than a passive or complacent waiting. A free flow will come through greater intimacy with him and actively seeking the kingdom of God (Mat. 6:33).
